I love teaching because I really love sharing what I know and helping artists to reach for their full capabilities.  The fundamentals of art are important for the serious beginner to learn and for the intermediate artist to master in order to reach the next level.  Teaching in a workshop setting is great because there is intense instruction and practice time over a 3-5 day period.  However, I wanted to teach in more of a mentorship capacity where I can guide artists in their artistic growth.  This is why I have designed this Mentorship Program.  

The idea for this 14-week Program is to provide the serious beginner to intermediate artist with instructional videos to watch in their own time, assign practice projects each week with LIVE feedback in order to learn more about fundamental topics, and give guidance for personalized growth.  If you will commit to following my instruction, practicing with the weekly assignments, and seeking out feedback, then I promise that you will gain confidence and see growth during the 14-weeks.  But, you need to put the work in!  Learning any skill takes practice, and art is no different!

This 14- week program is divided into 4 sessions and during each session we will focus on a different topic:  Drawing, Values, Color, and Composition.   

Program limit is 15 students. 

The TC Mentor Program Winter 2023 is FULL

The next Mentor Program will start on November 7, 2022 and go until February 18, 2023.  We will have weekly zoom meetings for feedback, questions, and instruction on Monday's from 7-9 pm (Eastern Time Zone).   These group meetings will all be recorded, so you won't miss anything.  We will have a one week break/catch-up week over Christmas.

What to Expect

You will receive the following during the 14-week program

  • Over 10 hours of exclusive video instruction and demonstrations, available at the start of each session

  • Assignments given every week to practice the principles and techniques being taught

  • Weekly Recorded Group Critiques through Zoom to get direct feedback on your assignments by Brienne

  • A One-on-One Consultation with Brienne at the end of the program to get personal guidance moving forward.

  • Join a private community for TCMP students to share work, comments, and encouragment

  • You will retain access to all videos for 1-year after the END of the program

  • Watch the videos and complete assignments on your own time schedule. You are incharge!
